I know this man was named one of the potential successors of Altaf Hussain, but now that he got arrested, any news on MQM disowning him?

When and where did this happen? I don’t think anyone other than Babar Ghori, Farooq Sattar Ishratul Ibaad can handle the wild-natured party workers.

Nobody has ever been named as the successor. The only person I believed who had the potential was Mustufa Kamal. And there are strong rumours of agencies trying to contact him these days to book him as a possible replacement of AH.
Either way, there’ll be many factions and a chaos if AH leaves the leadership

It is surprising no protests, no burning of vehicles, closing of shops and no closing of Karachi. Really bad times have fallen on mqm. It is called 'mukafat-e-amal. Allah ke yahan dher hay andher nahin. It is high time that mqm should be disbanded and form a new party for the so called rights muhajir or declare themselves as Sindhis and merge with the land of peaceful Sindh. In doing so they will be winners not the losers.

^ and exactly for the very same reason people who speak Urdu have full right to stick to Urdu as its their ancestors language, problem should not be language, problem should be holding grudge against speakers of other language, discrimination based on language/ethnicity/province etc.
