‘Ghammazi’ is quite a common word in Urdu. I don’t think there is anything “garrha” about it. Just type “غمازی” on google and see how many results from newspapers come up.

Besides, most MQM folks are university graduates. They are supposed to know both English and Urdu better than people like Jamshed Dasti, who have fake graduation degrees.

BTW, people from Punjab know Urdu equal or better than many Karachiites. I read somewhere that there are more Urdu books published from Lahore than from Karachi.

you are right that number of publishing houses are more in Lahore than in Karachi.

but the word ghammazi is rarely used in conversation. Farooq Sattar tries to use gaaRhi Urdu and its good that MQM got educated people like Faisal sabzwari. I like his style of conversation.

BTW what is the meaning of Fateen? I’ve a doubt that Jang probably mus-spelled the word.
