MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

CD/MD/MP3 to Cassette Adaptor : In-Car Audio : Maplin

OK so the above is suitable with cars that have cassette player, is there one that could be plugged into CD player ? anyone?

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

Its called a mini FM transmitter. You plug the pin into the MP3 player and it transmits at a certain frequency. You tune your car FM radio to that frequency and lo-and-behold YOU GOT MUSAKE

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

^ cool, where can i obtain one of these from?

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

Thanks you’re a star :k:

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

I have the original version of this Belkin thing with only 4 frequencies. I'm going to order this one too.

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

^ this might sound like a stupid question but, is the broadcasting of your music e.g. through a mp3 player only local or do others also hear it on the frequency

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

No the range is very small so no one outside your own vehicle should be able to catch the signal. You can also find it in wallmart for less than 15 dollars. Its in automotive section where their in-car stereos are sitting.

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

^ cool, what is the quality of the sound like? will it be crystal clear even without an aerial?

It will be as good as like you are listening to a FM radio station. FM transmitters come with at least 4 frequencies (89.9 is usually one of them). These 4 frequencies are unoccupied frequencies for most of the part but sometimes a very strong radio signal transmitted on some neighboring frequency could cause disturbance. The easy way out is to change the transmit frequency of your FM transmitter and dial your car radio to that new frequency.

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

^^ as he said, other than occasional 'static' , the quality is pretty good..

You bring up a veryyyyyyy interesting point. I wonder if it can be hacked and I can increase the range. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D

I can be at a red light and start up something like

"Aap ko neend aa rahi hai...
aap soooooooo rahay hainnnnnnnnn!!!"

The item whose link I posted is not restricted to 4 frequencies, its fully open. Meaning you can switch it to whichever frequency you want.

Re: MP3 to CD In Car Adaptor

Bought one of these, the sound quality seems ok, let’s see how it sounds on the motorway
