i want to set one up - does anyone here know of any good ones?

is that hard to do?

Thats a simple MP3 player with more likely to have a playlist written in XML. Skin of iPod could be custom, but MP3 player looks like something I have seen many times.

n e 1 know of n e good hosting companys? or should i just setup a server at my home?
my upload capacity at the moment - connected wirelessly is 613 kpbs - would that be enuf to stream a mp3 server?

^ it depends really how many streams you are pushing at any given time. If you are pushing 6 streams at 128 kbps, your connection is going to choke.

It's best that you should run it over a T3 line. Many streaming servers such as Flash Communication Server has a peak 'server bandwidth' limit. For instance, if you are using a personal addition, the total 'server' capacity is only 256 kbps. Hence, in this situation your connection should work fine. Hope this helps..
