I’m looking for an MP3 player that uses non-cd based media, and can preferably fit on an armband. Wouldnt need it to carry more than 60-90 mins of music. Anyone got any suggestions?
I think the top of the line is Apple's iPod, which is now also available for Windows. I think it has 5 Gigs of hard disk, which is much more than you require. It costs approx $300.
Rio makes a number of models of non-CD based MP3 players. I have seen newspaper ads for models starting at $89 bucks with a reasonable harddisk space.
Armband? hmmm... that is interesting. Probably need to do some more research on the size of the devices. Typically they look like a cigarette pack so probably its easier to attach them to the belt clip.
I haven't used any myself, so I wouldn't know the quality, but this kinda device is getting very popular in electronic stores. Maybe someone who has actually used one can provide better feedback.

Nike has one which is made to be used during sports…armband included…look this one up.

Rio has an arm band version. Actually they had one two years ago (Used to work for a computer store). But they had a problem of falling off the band and breaking (while jogging/running etc), I am sure it has been fixed now.
