Whenever i try pasting something in a GS post, it won’t let me…
This message always pops up: You need to edit your Mozilla config file to take this action…
Wot does this mean, and how can i fix it? Anybody know
It’s really frustrating bcos i have to type stuff out all the time, i can’t even post a link as a source from an article either…plus, last month i sent Gizzy some pics to upload and he sent me back the image tags, but i cudn’t even copy/paste those…i told him about this pop-up message, but i guess he doesn’t know either as i never got a p.m. back from him
So if anyone can help me with this i’d appreciate it
Re: Mozilla Configuration

-Operating System?
-Application Name and Version?
-Does this happen only on GS or other sites as well?

** Bandoosta**, well i can paste things from Internet to say, Word n stuff…i duno about other places on the net, as GS is the only place i’ve tried to paste things in…but oh, it works in my emails, never had a problem there…only at GS have i noticed this…and i have Firefox version 1.0.6…wot wud operating system be? Sorry, i really don’t have much knowledge of this! I did go to that link, at first i thought this is gona be easy…but then i got there and i was totally lost
i had to set up a profile folder thingy, and i cudn’t even do that properly
I need something in plain english with easy steps…i can’t find an answer in their Help section with my exact problem…oh, and i tried going to about:config and i was supposed to modify over there, but problem was i didn’t know wot the “value” was…so instead i reset all the ones in bold…still didn’t work…and i went there later, and they r back in bold again
arrghh, i’m probably not making sense…but thanks a lot anyway
i will keep trying to sort it out.
Re: Mozilla Configuration
Try to sleect **and then press 'Ctrl and C' to copy** (two keys together) then press 'Crtl and V' to paste...
later you may download Adaware or spyware software from download.com and run them and see how many bugs you have :-) Looks like a bug to me or some restrictions.
Re: Mozilla Configuration
Drops,
By operating system, I meant to ask if you had Windows, Linux or Mac OS etc, that way you could find your profile folder (if needed). See if Dada’s suggestions work, if not then you could always upgrade firefox with a newer version. There’s also a little firefox extension called AllowClipboard Helper. Allows you to enhance javascript clipboard features for certain sites.
Re: Mozilla Configuration
Dada Abaa, that worked! Thanks so much
I wudn’t have known there cud be such a simple solution
Bandoosta, sorry yea i have Windows… thanks for ur help again
And u know wot, i think since GS has now been upgraded i don’t even have this problem anymore LOL! I can now copy and paste text by right clicking, so problem solved…yipheee
