Not sure if this is under the right section..
Husband is in the UK, I’m moving there (from UAE) in December insha’Allah.
Had a few questions:
- For anyone who has moved countries after shaadi.. how did you pack? I’m following these guidelines: Not taking in abundance anything available there (not a lot of regular western clothes, not a lot of makeup and only very basic beauty stuff
I’m focusing more on stuff I think I get get better from here so shalwar kameez, abayas, etc.
Still 50-60 kgs :S
I’d love to take more things, like my books, and other general stuff, wont be able to feel at home without them, but i don’t think i have enough weight. **How did you manage with the things you want to take (and may not need to)

- I’ve always worked as an adult and have always been used to having my own cash. Spent (and honestly speaking, wasted alot on clothes, useless beauty stuff all through out my late teens and early 20s.
I don’t have much savings left and husband is on a tight budget.
What would you recommend best places to shop for clothes, beauty products, etc but on a budget (but of decent quality, etc)
example: I’ve always used the complete dermalogica range which is slightly pricey, but I cant afford to re-stock before I leave, and I don’t want to ask the husband to buy all that.
Another member stoppit advised the natural oils, etc, which aren’t that expensive but I’ve read have helped so I’ll be getting things like those instead.
So what I’m looking for is cheap, but good
