Getting in E&Y or any multinational in Pakistan is tough. High competition from strong local and foreign Pakistani grads. So hopefully you are at an institution with a very strong reputation or at minimum is well known.

Why don’t you do internships in Pakistan during term breaks. That will not only give you an insight into life in Pakistan, professional and personal, but also help you build a local professional network that can help.

If I were in your shoes and was committed to the move, I may even try a term at a local uni. You can transfer classes in many cases so you will not lose time.

That’s not a bad idea. And yes i know it is very difficult to get in EY but i have build a network here and my grades aren’t bad either. I will try to get in to EY here and than try to transfer.

But the internship sounds good too. I will do some research on that. What about the culture in those mulitnationals? Do you know if discrimination based on gender is common?
