Moving to Ottawa

Hey Guys,

Need you experience and views, didn’t know where else to post. Will probably post this interms of schools and jobs in other part of GS too.

We are currently in india. We moved from Toronto to india in 2009, now we are hoping to go back soon. We are thinking to use this oppertunity since we don’t have job/house/school commitments at the moment in canada, so we are thinking to move to Ottawa. I have heard good things about Ottawa. These are our few/vague criteria to choose a city.

  1. Family friendly, safe, somewhat mutil-cultural
  2. Good school and job prospects
  3. Not toronto-type of commute

We lived in toronto and GTA fou about 8-9 years, we need change honestly..no GTA/TO, even though I love living there but it is too expensive and too much hassel that is not worth it anymore IMO. Plus most of my family is in US-north east and canada-midwest so doesn’t matter from that point of view.

Please serious/sincere opinion from ppl living/lived in or know ottawa/kanata/nepean.

come to **Lucknow, Ontario***...lovely place and gore nawaabs here too...you can commute to London to work...it's so cheap here...i'm suggesting Lucknow because that's where i live haha ;) *
