Moving to Kent (UK) is there a muslim community??

Salam guys n gals,

I’m not sure if this is the best place to post but i thought i was worth a shot!! We are loooking to move to kent (maybe Bexley, Bromley or Welling) and I wanted to know if anyone lives in kent and how they have found it in terms of Mosques etc and other facilities for muslims. I am very concerned as I have two very young daughters ( 2yr old and 3 yr old) and need to make sure I will find a Muslim (arabic) teacher or school or mosque where they can learn the Quran (Inshallah). I am very concerned, the only reason to move to kent is because of space and house prices and to be closer to family.

I would really apprecaite your help on this matter and thank you all for your contribution in advance..xx

Where are you moving from?

from Ilford, Essex

I doubt it's going to be the same as Ilford. But the Darul Uloom is in Chislehurst, so hopefully you should be able to find an Arabic teacher or somewhere where there are lessons. Bromley is also 20-30 mins drive from Croydon, which has a very large mosque and significant muslim community. My parents house is also 20 mins drive from Croydon, their nearest mosque is about 15 min drive away and it's not an issue for jummah or taraweh.

Dunno about Bexley or Welling.

Bexley and Bromley do have small desi Muslim communities.. I don't think you'll have any problem finding a good Arabic teacher etc.. Very different to Ilford tho..
