I don’t follow one. In the time of Muhammad (saww) everybody was just Muslim and nothing more. I don’t see why I should today be part of Hanafi of Shafií or whatever madhab, neither am I Sunni or Shia or whatever, I just see myself as Muslima and nothing more.

But then it does get difficult in issues like these, that’s true.

Yes you answered you own question … now you need to find out what way you want to go … and have a good reason for it - you need to become a scholar or at least half a scholar if you don’t have a madhab.
