So how have you managed to move home especially with small children.
The house needs some fixing up, I have two small children (2yrs 3 months and 5 months old) I am stuck in our old place while hubby works on the new one cos the kids need my attention. I wanna get stuck in too 
and put my own mark on it.
Those who had small children how did you manage?

Hire a baby sitter or ask some friends to help out taking care of your kids.

I think the best bet is that you leave the elder one with a friend or baby sitter like Mirch said .. and take the little one with you , if its just a short visit to the new property.
but if there is proper work getting done there .. then taking kids can be dangerous , so you have no other alternative but to either leave them with friends of have a babysitter over while you go work in the property
