I am new to this site and I want to start this topic to get your input on a very Important issue.I been living in USA for 16 years now and I think the time has come for me to return to my roots.Please tell me how is it there now.

I live 30 Miles west of Washington DC and I am going to Lahore and Multan.
My Family comes from Multan and we have land there.

You will do alot of good to our people. Taking education, skills from USA and bringing it back home. I think its a great and noble deed.
I hope inshallah i have courage one day where i can feel i can go back.

are you going to just go back? or go there and farm? when you say "land in multan" i assume its farming land. or are you just going there and will "setup a business". i reckon farming is the way to go in pakistan, especially greenhouse farming. check out SMEDA website, they have reports there on greenhouse farming.
other than that, be prepared for a nasty cultural shock, it'll take 3 years to get used to it (seriouslly). 1 if you smoke dope.
