Moving a thread from One Forum to Another

How many times this has happened to you guys that you posted a thread in one forum,you come back and you dont find it.Then You search whole Gupshup only to find out that its been moved to somewhere else.

Sometimes you can see an Arrow next to your thread and it automatically takes you to your thread.But most of the time its not.
Shouldnot this be Mods responsibility to Inform you about its movement.Or Gupshup should have some mechanism built into it that whenever a thread is moved it automatically sends a notification to the guy/gal who posted it.

First of all in most cases, the threads are moved with automatic redirect so that it is still visible in the original forum (with an arrow marked). If its not, chances are that the thread is deleted. In which case you can send a PM to forum mod to find out the reason.

However, we are looking into an automatic mechanism, where the members will get a message (PM/email) informing them where their thread is moved. Stay tuned.

Not true. this thread of mine was moved from World Affairs to Career and Academics .And there is no trace of it in World Affairs.

Anyway I think sending automatic message would be very good idea.

yes.. but we should try to fix these exceptions. :)
Its really annoying searching for them.
