Ocean Eleven
This movie is generating a lot of interest. Star studded, its a remake of a 1960 movie which originally starred Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. This 2001 movie stars, get it, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, and Lennox Lewis. Its about eleven criminals out to rob Las Vegas casinos. Trailers are interesting.
Vanilla Sky
Real life love-birds, Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz, star in this highly anticipated movie. A womanizer is crashed into a tree by an ex-lover and gets a disfigured face. Then a strange love triangle develops. Needless to say, most people just want to see if Penelope has actually learnt any acting, since after “Mandolin”, she was stamped as a beautiful actress with a cute accent but zero acting skills. Hopefully Tom is able to get some real acting out of her.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones
Its rumored that many people bought tickets for Monsters Inc a number of times just to see the trailer for “Episode II”, and try to figure out the plot. No such luck. Lucas and his team are still in production and the trailer just gives a glimpse of the movie without giving away anything. Star Wars series have already collected a whopping $7b so far, and there is no reason to doubt that Episode II will be any different. A sure shot, money-maker for Lucas Films. It is probably the most anticipated movie for 2002 (expected release date May 2002).
It continues the tale of Anakin Skywalker’s slide into the dark side. Being a complicated suspense thriller with amazing graphics, this series has a cult status. People need to see the movie again and again to pick up the plot and this guarantees the success.
