LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party on Sunday organised a press show of the art movie, the Bhutto, Freedom Lost, which was made to bring into light Bhutto’s struggle in laying foundation of political structure in the country.
The amateur production was directed by Bahawalpur PPPP president Shakir Mirza. Advocate Mukhtar Gul has played the role of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and a British national Sahiba has played the role of Benazir Bhutto.

He said the movie had encompassed Bhutto’s whole life span starting from 1955 till his death. He said the movie would be televised soon as an election campaign to let the people know about Bhutto’s achievements in making Pakistan greater. He announced to make a sequel of the movie soon in which the whole life of Bhutto, his leadership qualities, intellect and his charismatic personality would be filmed.
Gul said, “Leaders like Bhutto are born in centuries and I feel honoured in playing the role of Bhutto.” He said it was difficult to justify Bhutto’s achievements in two and a half hour movie.
Senator Sajjad Bokhari said, “I received a good response when I wrote the book on Bhutto. Our people have strong affiliation with Bhutto for ensuring their rights.” “I appreciate the efforts by Shakir Mirza to spread the message of the Quaid-e-Awam through audio-visual medium to ensure effective dissemination of the ideology of the Bhutto.” He said the movie would be used as a post-election campaign. How many misguided Pakistanis still think the power hungry traitor Z.A. Bhutto, who sacrificed East Pakistan just so he can become a Prime Minister is a national hero?
I personally think there should be a movie about his last 12 hours when he squealed like a pig as soon as he saw the noose.
