Does anyone know of a mover coming from Montreal to Toronto?
We are moving some furniture from Montreal to Toronto. We are on a limited budget. After contacting numerous mover ad’s and dealing with ridiculous prices both western and desi movers I thought I’d ask the guppies to help us:)
Some one told me that if I could find a mover coming to Toronto with an empty truck for pick up they charge less and keep it as extra money for themselves.
Our budget is $600 final and we have to move our stuff from Montreal to Toronto by this Saturday.
i think ur best bet around montreal would definately be going down to parc-ex and talking to a mover bhaijaan urself , throw in some pans and chai..and bring the price down :) im sure SOMEONE will give in !
I gotta say that $600 is really not going to get you anywhere close to Mississauga... Kingston perhaps...
I mean... c'mon... the gas itself is going to be in the ball-park of $200 one-way, and factor in labor charges of $12/hr. (cheapest... $16 is the norm when I checked with movers last year) with two guys spending a couple of hours on each location loading and unloading - you're looking at another $200.
Finally, with the rent of the truck itself, transportation and content insurance... the left-over $200 will NOT cover it.
Even if you were to rent your own U-Haul and do it yourself, you're looking at $400 - $450.
$600 is nothing! my parents moved from woodbridge to brampton and it costs them 800 bucks....the best bet for u is to rent a truck and do it urself....
Yea - i moved within ottawa and it cost $500 ! It took the movers 5 entire hours to take everything from my house and stuff it into storage, and the storage place was not even 15km away from my house!
