^ agreed. The difference is that everyone knows and talks about coke studio but no one from the younger generation knows virsa (or PTV for that matter ) :)

The Allama Iqbal rendition by Rahat Fateh Ali is good too
The virsa series is making a good contribution but I think the difference is that Coke heavily promotes its own show whereas PTV does not really have the resources to compete with its promotional capabilities. A negative point though is this program sometimes asking its some of its audience (models!) for their thoughts who can say nothing of any worth.
