is mouthwash eg listrene as effective as floss?
Re: mouthwash
I don't think so. Floss cleans inbetween your teeth. Mouthwash just cleans on top and around your teeth, eventhough some mouthwashes claim to remove plaque. It doesn't really get in there and actually clean the build up like floss does.
Re: mouthwash
well then whats the advantage of mouthwash? cuz doesnt brushing remove plaque on top and around ur teeth??
Re: mouthwash
Nice smelling breath. Floss doesn't give you that. I'm sure mouthwash does have its benefits. I am just highly in favour of floss. I never leave home without it. Flossing regularly also makes your gums stronger. If you have ever noticed that your gums bleed slightly when you go to the dentist and they are cleaning your teeth, to prevent that from happening, you are apparently supposed to floss.
Re: mouthwash
yea but for lazy ppl like me..floss is hell...i only started because on repeated instructions from my dentist...and last thing i want to do before going to bed is to spend 30 mins flossing and end up with bleeding gums...
Re: mouthwash
30 minutes?? It takes a few minutes only once you get used to it. Stop being lazy, think of your gums.
Re: mouthwash
well ok not 30..but still 20 for sure..
another problem is that my teeth are tightly adjoined so getting the floss in between them is not easy...and while pushing the floss between my teeth i dont wanna push it too hard..because then it might not only go thru in between my teeth but also my gum...its a struggle i tell ya...
But it is important i guess....thats the only way to stop the plaque disease - gingavitrous...or smthing like that..
Re: mouthwash
Flossing is a pain in the neck. I hate to floss and therefore I never do it. I use Listerine every now and then but I brush three times a day (or after every meal).
