So I used to get them all the time, and ever since i have started taking iron suppliments never had one, then came along a shocker of an ulcer underneath my tongue!! and its killing me, Docs have now said this is due to lack of vit B? anyone?

It could be due to digestion or problems with certain foods. You should monitor your diet or try to remember what you ate 1-2 days before.

prolly recurrent apthous ulcers...a cause of which can be iron and vit-B deficiency,can be stress related,food allergies related.
what kind of ulcers are they?small big?bloody?rupture easily?any skin lesions along?
do visit a dentist for digging out what exactly is the problem.the under the tongue ulcer maybe due to trauma..maybe you brushed too hard there and didnt realize you injured youself.or maybe the tooth at the side is causing the trauma.there can be many endless reasons for this one.
for the recurrent ulcers..good that you are taking you vitamins,use a chlorhexidine mouthwash,your dentist might even give you some topical corticosteroids.
ok just a note for everyone...if you get any kind of persistant ulcer in your mouth..and it doesnt heal after like 14 days...get it checked for sure! SURE!!!

Get a glass of warm water, 2 tea spoons of salt, mix it until its dissolved. Rinse it in your mouth for about a minute but DO NOT SWALLOW IT. When ur doing that it might sting like a ***** but it numbs it for a while after that.
