I’m actually concerned about why so many people in this thread wanted the west to not intervene in Libya and allow the rebellion in the east of Libya, which is more conservative and Islamic in nature than Gaddafi’s western stronghold. to be crushed mercilessly by his forces.

One would have thought that Pakistanis would support religious Muslims and want them to win, especially when prominent scholars and movements such as Yusuf Al Qaradawi and the Muslim Bortherhood have blessed foreign intervention in Libya.

This is only for the past few months that we’ve been hearing the news against Qaddafi and I’m just not ready to believe that Qaddafi has no support in Libya.

Also, even among the rebels they are sharply divided regarding the foreign intervention issue.

Besides, America, Britain and France are the same countries who invaded Iraq and killed millions of civilians so if anyone thinks that this intervention is solely for humanitarian purpose, they are kidding themselves.
