I must say I think the motion detector feature are very nifty in the Galaxy S3. The screen capture, zoom in and out or auto dial if you put the phone to your ear.
My favourite if a contact is up on the screen (whether a text or missed call from them) and you put it to your face/ear it calls the contact. Its convenient as you don’t have to swipe or click the phone icon to call the person.
So S3 gang which motion feature do you like the best and what do you think would have been a good motion feature to add in the future?
I like that you can read a document and the screen will stay bright while you're looking at it, so no need to tap it again and again, and when you're done and look away, it dims and darkens. That's the Smart Stay feature...dunno if comes under the motion category you wanted CDG.
Then of course you can take screenshots by waving ur hand over the screen from left to right or right to left.
Oh and also if u pick up ur phone after a while, it will remind you of all your missed calls/texts/emails. It has this built in heavy vibrational sound that buzzes upon motion. It makes it feel like the phone is acknowledging your presence. (yeah yeah, that’s the way I describe things ).
I like that the screenshot doesn’t require 2 different keys now. Well you can still do it by using the power and menu buttons.
Oh yes, that’s a good one if you are in a meeting or class or work. Just put it upside down and every now and then flip it over and even without looking you will know if there are any notifications.
I have to tell you the funniest thing TLK said. So I was telling him how can you make a phone call by taking the phone near your ear when u have the contact up (as you mentioned in your first post) so he says: Whenever I do that, all it does is take screenshots. SO he has tons of screenshots in his gallery of contacts . It was so funny the way he said it that I rotfl-ed inside the car…ummm…I really did.
Also, when you press and hold an icon on the screen and move the phone to the left or right, it lets you move that icon to the new screen where you stop. Takes a bit to control it, but pretty nifty none-the-less.
And if let's say ur in class CDG and ur not sure if ur phone is on mute/vibrate, just put ur phone facing down and it'll mute all calls. Just make sure you have the Turn over to mute feature enabled in settings.

Oh now I get what that feature meant, that's neat! Now my instructor won't say "Sara, what's so important on the phone?" :p
They may not have anything against technology, but they sure as hell do have a thing about being interrupted and people not paying attention. I don't think that's restricted to teachers either.
