Im sure you UK peeps have also noticed its moth season once again! I hate them sooo much!!!
I have my windows open at night and they come into my room and fly around and irritate me and go crazy flying around the lamp because they think its the moon or something.
Anyway any tips on how to deal with them??

hmmm yeah they can annoying when u constantly hear the buzzing sound.
use any pest control.
use some sort of net on your window so that air can come but wasps cannot. i had this white net peice at home so everytime i open window at night i just simply stick teh net piece on the window. i enjoy the wind with comfort....and all the wasps either sit on the net or just simply go away when the dont find a way to come in.

**when i was living in a village in India, during rainy season moths were our biggest problems and that forced us to change our life style during that period. after each heavy rain, they will swarm after dark [after maGrib] so we had to eat our dinner before maGhrib. it was a huge nuisance.
we followed one trick to trap them without fail. what we did was that we placed the lantern on the ground and then poured water about 3 feet in diameter around it. these moth will always land on the lantern and thus their wings will get stuck to the water like glue. withing 15 minutes of the attack they all die.
since u live in the UK...u do NOT have courtyard so what you can do is take a shallow tray like pizza tray and fill it with water and place a candle or a lamo in the centre. all the moths will get stuck in the water. problem solved! :D it's fool-proof method and it's easy :)**

dont think there is much you can do inspiron … is there a light on the street near your window? coz usually that is the cause for lots of em moths coming into the room … but then again you wont be able to do much , other then opening a different window in some other room ..
Secondly , is your lamp near the window? perhaps try changing the location…
or arrange for a net to be placed on the window, like a curtain , so that when you open the window , the air wont hinder but the moths will find it difficult to make their way into the room
