I agree, but sometimes desi parents want that control, I guess, even when the child is doing great in school.

Not too many people use desktop these days and they will be even less popular in future. What if your kids have laptops? Will they still have to sit in the family room in order to use computers? If you want to monitor/restrict their activity/access, you can always set the parental control on (although some kids find their ways around) but that should help some.

I do that to my sister sometimes jokingly :smiley: When I know she’s buried in her books and will have a hard time getting up and opening the door, I knock and come sit in the living room and act like it wasn’t me who knocked on the door :stuck_out_tongue:
