Sad I know. But I don't remember. We vary it up. I know some yrs it has been a nice dinner. Used to be hand made gifts when I was growing up and I guess flowers from my Dad. He couldn't afford to get her a pair of shoes back then.
This year I'm going to get her a coffee mug. The small cute ones out at Starbucks. She keeps getting excited whenever she sees them at Target.
MIL is also a mother.
and she has her own kids who will remember her right?
That being said, I sent a gift to both of them last year, same thing, same amount, just a different color.
