any suggestions on how the mother of the bride should do her hair?
my mum keeps askin me but am not to sure what to suggest

My grandmother wore a red banarsi saree to my wedding. Both my mother and MIL did heavy sarees and a quite fond of bright colours and statement pieces in jewelery.
Considering that, I think the following one looks awesome!
Do you think it is appropriate for a Mother of the bride/MIL?

IMO statement jewels look good when they're the focus, not with a whole bunch of other jumbled up stuff. I think she looks fine as MIL minus the statement piece and if she really wanted to wear it then wear only that paired with minimal stuff otherwise.
I think MILs and Ammi's look awesome in Sarree's, I'm gonna ask my mom to wear one for my sister's wedding, let's see if that happens!

Sari's are so beautiful and elegant for mothers! Btw a quick question: do most of you or your mothers wear saris w/ your midriff baring?
I know most people in KHI are totally cool w/ that. I personally think a little bit looks fine.

My mom used to, not the whole midriff but an inch or so would show while bending and stuff- but this was a while ago. I'm pretty sure now if she wore one, it'd have to be all covered.
