Russian TV to telecast ‘Mother India’ as tribute to Sunil Dutt
MOSCOW — A Russian television network will telecast all time hit Mother India as a tribute to late Sunil Dutt, former federal sports and youth affairs minister and versatile actor.
The film will be shown by 'Rossiya' TV over the weekend. The network on Thursday announced a change in its published schedule of Indian movies saying instead of Sholay it will telecast Mother India, starring Dutt and Nargis as a tribute to the late minister.
The film, that lives across generations in Indian cineworld, created sensations both for its patriotic content and the unforgettable portrayal of Nargis and Dutt.
