CHICAGO (WLS) – Chicago police have charged 19-year-old Mubashra Uddin with first degree murder after they say she dropped her newborn daughter from an eighth floor window shortly after giving birth.

The newborn was discovered outside the apartment building near West Eastwood and North Clarendon around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, only a block away from Weiss Hospital. The death was ruled a homicide after the Cook County Medical Examiner determined she died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Police say Uddin is currently hospitalized, but have not released any further details.

Illinois safe haven laws allows the parents of unharmed newborns up to 30 days old to hand them over to staff at hospitals, police stations and other designated safe haven sites with no questions asked and without fear of prosecution.

Muslim bashing has been around for ages...what else is new?

Also, this chick seems mentally disturbed...no sane person would ever throw a baby...let alone their OWN baby...to its death the way this woman did.

Hope she gets sentenced for life.

I love that she didn't forget to put on her eyeliner, while killing and being arrested.

What does this have to do with muslim anything, she's obviously a very disturbed person.
No sane person of any religion would do what she did.

Ugh seen this stuff on FB everywhere...

It's all Muslim bashing on the comments section everywhere.. but just a quick google will show at least 6 cases within this year of young mothers killing their newborn babies. Due to whatever circumstance.. they abandon/kill them. Disturbing and disgusting but not a Muslim/immigrant problem.

Anyway... the chick seems crazy... her lawyer said that she was afraid of her parents, so she threw the baby out of the window... spent 9 months hiding her pregnancy by wearing baggy clothes. Where the fk was that fear when she was sleeping with some guy? It's ridiculous. If u can have sex, u can keep the baby too. She deserves whatever is coming her way.
