This incident happened in a remote village in Bangladesh and the "judges" were village elders. You can call it fake news If it makes you sleep better at night. Fact is, these people are making such "judgments" pass as Islamic Law. Just how women are murdered in Pakistan by their own relatives and they don't get any jail time because it's supposed to be an Islamic practice called "Honour killing". (Where it's actually a part of pre-islamic backward desi culture) I guess all of that is fake also...
There is no strict or non strict Islamic Law in Bangladesh and Pakistan and thus the news is not entirely true. Got it?
