Ammi / Amma / Mom seems to be in almost all languages. Khala is Arabic and we have 'Maasi / Mosi' for this in our languages, but due to kaam wali Maasi people now avoid using this term for Khala

Date palm as it provided food (fruit) and shelter (trunk was used in making roofs) to Arabs. As per some traditions, Prophet's pillow also contained part of date palm.
