This guy was arrested in 2000 as well, and had affiliations with the MQM…
The sources said both the accused was involved in almost all the high-profile cases of assassinations and terrorism. Ajmal Pahari was declared proclaimed offender along with MQM chief Altaf Hussain by an anti-terrorist court in a case related to the killing of four American employees of Union Texas along with their Pakistani driver in TPX Police Station jurisdiction in 1997. The sources also said the accused was carrying head money Rs one million.

Sunday, January 20, 2013 Karachi: The wife of Ajmal Pahari, who was released the other day after being either acquitted of murder charges or granted bail in more than 100 cases of target killings in Karachi, informed the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Saturday that her husband might have been detained again as he did not arrive home after his release.
Fauzia filed an application with the SHC, fearing that security agencies might have picked up her husband again despite his release from the Central Jail on Friday. According to Central Jail authorities, Pahari was released after he was acquitted or bailed in all cases registered against him. He had been detained for the last four months under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).

Sad day but unless the laws of the land are changed, protection provided to the witnesses and their families this is what we will get. Changing the laws, good prosecution and protection of witnesses are all in the domain of the incumbent regime.
