It’s not surprising that most American young people don’t know where a mass murder by the US has taken place, as long as there is a mass murder.

Re: Most US young people can't find Iraq on map: study
^^ Most Pakistani youth don't know where Sierra Leon is. The same place where Pakistani soldiers died trying to keep peace.
Most Pakistani young people don't even know that 24 of our finest were killed and their bodies mutilated in Mogadeshu during a search and destroy operation.
Actually young people are supposed to be happy go lucky type people (unless they are being drafted by the army). They have a whole life to explore this world.
Now if you asked a US general where Iraq is, and he couldn't answer, then I'd really worried. Because he may be landing troops on someone's house who frets too much about stuff that he have no clue about.
Re: Most US young people can't find Iraq on map: study
This isn't about Pakistan. If that's what you want to talk about, then open a thread with a referenced link about Pakistan. This one is about US ignorance.
Re: Most US young people can’t find Iraq on map: study
any what reference do you have for the claims?
antiobl - please dont’ post crap if you have nothing to say.. there is a big button at the top right corner of your browser (marked with X) use that instead..
Re: Most US young people can't find Iraq on map: study
Well ignorance in both countries is dangerous
Re: Most US young people can’t find Iraq on map: study
Well, one can make all the examples of Pakistan they want. The US considers itself to be among the “Highly Educated” nations of the world, unlinke Pakistan. The results of that study must prove to be pretty embarrasing for them.
Re: Most US young people can't find Iraq on map: study
Well USA has 300 million people...
Americans are educated in terms of business, science, entrepreneurship, math, etc...
They lack the knowledge of history, world affairs, geography...
They are mostly concered with themselves and not with the world
