Most Sentational Piece of Hitting

What is the most Sentional piece of hitting in a test match that first comes to your mind.?
U can name more than one innings if they come to your mind later.

Mine right now has to Chris Carins’s Hundred , and then fifty in second innings Against Australia in 2000. he hit a six of Brett Lee on the up and straight down the ground, he hit Shane Warne for six off the back foot, then Hooked Breet Lee again out of the ground. and again Hit shane warne over mid wicket…Waaaoo great stuff.

Belive me or not but same here man, like anyonne who gets brett lee.

I would say that for me it was Nathan Astle who did the job against England…

NZ were chasing 500 odd runs, and they were going down.. and suddenly Astle started to hit the ball.. he made a double centruy of 140 odd balls… NZ managed to make 450 plus runs in the fourth inningss.(never happened before in 4th innigs of the match)..
but at the end they lost the match,…

this was his statistics of the innings
NJ Astle c Foster B Hoggard 222(RUNS) 231(min) 168(ball) 28(4) 11(6)

and this is the match summary

Afridi's fastest centuary, and his 109 against India in Toronto.

Lots of others, can't remember right now

Ijaz ahmed brutal inning against India at lahore ,it was 3rd ODI: Pakistan v India at Lahore, 2 Oct 1997

Ijaz Ahmed 139 runs 84 balls 10 fours 9 sixes

scorecard

Yasir and Shabaz...
The discussion is on TEST innings........

Inzamam’s knock aganist NZ during the 92 world cup. He saved us from certain defeat and we went on to win that WC. :k:

Gilchrist's double ton against South Africa @ Johannesburg, one great site to watch, just watched that match last week, it was one great innings.

Afridi's 141 against India...I dont watch test matches a lot...and I think Inzamam 138 against BD would there too...although it was against BD, he gave Pakistan the vicory batting around tail enders.

I would have to say Ajay Jadeja smashing Waqar for 40 runs off Waqar’s last 2 overs in the 1996 wc quarter final.

:bummer:

Yeah - very good at that.

Waise before I forget - Azhar Century against SA in SA was a gem.
115 in 110 balls against Donald, Klusner, Pollock etc was great.

Gordon Greenidge against England scoring a sensational 200 between lunch and close of play to win the match for WI after England declared thinking it was safe to do so.

Ganguly and Sachin murdering English bowling at Leeds last year.

Gilchrist's innings in Mumbai - 122 in 112 balls with 15x4s, 4x 6s.

When Gilchrist came in to bat Australia were struggling at 99/5 in 30 overs, Gilly counter attacked Indian bowling with Hayden and when he got out Aussi score was 326 in 65 overs.

Needless to say, Australia went on to win the test match.
