We flew with them a couple of months back...on the exchange frm Dubai to Pakistan one member of staff (lady) was extreemly rude in the manner she spoke. Just put it down to a bad experience

I think this is the reason so many are rude when flying to desi countries.. I read on an airline blog once that those are the places a lot of cabin crew are least happy to travel to :( They just find it too much hassle.. Some were also mentioning how bad the toilets get and so on.. All in all not an enjoyable trip for a lot of them.. Can't say I'd enjoy dealing with blocked loos and passengers who don't listen either.. The last time I flew to Karachi the cabin crew actually got up and stood at the front of the cabin as the plane had landed and was going to the gate.. They obviously wanted to stop ppl getting up, moving around and taking the bags out of the overhead lockers before they had stopped..

Generally speaking I think Thai cabin crew are amongst the best.. really polite and helpful..

British Airways used to have a brilliant reputation in the 80s and 90s but cos of strikes and so on that’s been ripped to shreds.. When they’re not on strike they’ll usually get you from A to B on time but I don’t think their service is anything special now.. just average.. Considering some airlines can be more generous with their baggage allowances and have that bit extra in terms of customer service + care I wouldn’t normally bother with BA now.. For a similar price I’d rather go with Thai, Emirates or even Turkish..

I agree with le Pakistan , i had good experience with PIA ... its the passengers who act weird and ill mannered too :(

WORST I would say ... British Airways! :(

If you compare Emirates with Etihad i would say Etihad staff have alot of attitude problem. Each one believe’s to have won the Miss Universe title :5:

I an not sure if they are rude or not but my experience with Virgin Atlantic was not very good (Los Angles to UK)

  1. American Airlines - They cancelled our flight and re-booked us with Delta and promised us a hotel room for the transit in Atlanta at the time of departure but when we went to the counter to claim it, we were cursed upon by the reps and shouted back upon. We had to take a taxi at 3 in the morning and pay exorbant amoount of prices for a shady hotel room. Delta was telling american that we are AA passengers so AA should give us hotel and AA was saying that Delta should give us the room.

  2. **Eithad - **I was openly asked by the ticket agent to bribe him for my carry on being overweight. Who weights a carry on btw???

Most US airlines have rude staff. AA & Delta lead the pack.

in 2007 were travelling singrapore to pakistan via Karachi. plane was refueling at Karachi Airport. streward were telling this man to turnoff his mobile phone as it was causing issues. He wouldnt. There were announcing and announcing, many few people came to tell this desi guy to turn off his mobile, that he was using but he wouldnt and didnt.

it was so annoying as they were pleading him to listen to them just for few min.

its not always airlines fault, we desi cause it too.

when we travel Sydney to Singapore or to Bangkok, its world class service. but once we started journey from Singapore or Bangkok to Lahore its the worst.

for example, in 2005, we were travelling Bangkok to lahore, plane was full and 98% were desis. and every one was fully drinking alcohol and than vomiting. in particular this man sitting behaind our seat, kept pull our seat backward. so were so annoyed but he wouldnt listen.

than he called steward and asked her for COKE. she brought him coke, opened it in front of him and poured in a class for him. he started to shout at her as he wanted a CAN.
She went back and got him a full can but opened it for him. he started shouting again.
poor lady was in tears and got him UNOPENED CAN OF COKE.

I never saw that steward for remaining journey.
