Most Pak students in Pakistan are surprisingly keen to learn about Hinduism, despite the hostility that has prevailed between their country and India in the previous sixty years.
According to Dr. Maureen Korp, as art critic and a religious studies scholar based in Canada, the students in Pakistan were different to the ones she was used to teaching in Canada.
Korp, who is visiting Lahore at the invitation of the Beaconhouse National University (BNU), said she had given an assignment to her students in which they were asked about religions including Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Christianity and Judaism.
“Surprisingly, I found that most students were keen to know about Hinduism despite the enmity, which India and Pakistan have,” the Daily Times quoted her, as saying.
An author of two books, Korp received her doctorate from the University of Ottawa and has won various academic awards. Her books — Sacred Geography of the American Mound Builders and Sacred Art of the Earth - have received critical acclaim.
Korp also has to her credit many articles and scholarly book reviews. She has taught at Carleton University, Ottawa School of Art, Pacifica Graduate Institute, California, University of Bucharest, Romania, the State University, New Jersey, and Atlantic Country Community College, New Jersey. (ANI)

This is actually True.
During my college days few years back, I had many hindu friends in my circle and I actually studied a bit of the hinduism - not because I was inspired but because:
I wanted to learn about it as a compartive study to my own religion
I wanted to learn it because once I would know what hinduism actually is, it will make my task of explaining my religion to my fellows better in terms of relating things from either religions and highlighting the differences with rational arguments (not heated!)

In Hindutsaan --Everybody is Hindu (including HIndus,Christians,Muslims,Parsis,Sikhs)

Hindusim is not fanatisms like Growing long long and still more long beards n then chopping offf the moustaches so in the end the person looks like gorilla frm africa ..
It is not about leaving the latest from science & technology and going back to medivial times gowing by some stupid rules of some tribal men .
Hinduism is not about fighting and converting other people to itself
Hinduism is not abouyt marrying many many girls and then making lotsa offsprings from them and causing population explosion
Hinduism is not about making sound pollution in the name of some god 5 times a day
*Hinduism is about spreading universal brotherhood,Universal Love ,Loving all and makibng this place a heaven to stay in,It is about educating everyone,making themn more rich(culturally & monetarily) more better to lead a life
and making them a better person tio stay in this world with the bleassings of Lord Ram Lord Krishna and many other great Hindu Lords...

In my opinion, pakistani's want to learn about Hinduism because they are curious to learn what others believe. Even I have read the other thread where the misconceptions of Hinduism are discussed and have acknowledged them. However, this does not mean that I'm weak in my faith! In fact, when I learn about other religions, the more my faith increases in islam.

everyone should atleast look in to other peoples religion , culture, philosophy etc to gain a different perspective and to broaden their outlook..
[FONT=Times New Roman]ASA guys why would you want to learn about some other religion " pehle apne mazhab Islam ko to pura seekh lo yarro " I know some one will say oo I already know about Islam, even the scholar that have studied for so many years say they do not know the complete deen, if you think you know enough then first practice it and bring it in your life, and in the life of our household, we all believe there will not be any prophets after Muhammad SAWS, it is every Muslims responsibility to learn Islam bring it in his/her life, then make niyyat to spread the word of Allah everywhere, pls stop trying to learn other religions we need to learn our religion first, in today’s world so many Muslims do not even know how to make Wudu, how to make Gusul, how to make Salat properly, it is mine and yours responsibility to take the message to them if we don’t do that they will point us out on the day of judgment, what will we say oo I was too busy with work, with family or whatever, we have so much to do and there is very little time so I beg all of you to make niyyat to do this JazakAllah Khair.

I my self was very much interested in learning about Hinduisms, I did watch video in pakistan.
I had hind friend(in canada) who told me a lot. It wasn’t easy to get him talking about Hinduisms but eventually I get him to talk.
I was surprised to see how some/most of the entities from other holy books are also there in hinduism. Only difference is those entities are also called god.
