it depends on your skin type: normal, dry, oily, combination... and what kind of acne your're getting: there are various types of acne...
it could also be a hormonal problem ..which is most often the case
consult your doc first -- who will probably refer you to a dermatolgist.
if its hormonal - they might put you on a birth control pill...(which your desi mom will probably freak out about)..ive been on b.c. and it did get rid of my acne, but my weight did fluctuate a bit...as well as my mood lol
they may tell you to go on acutane - DO NOT. its reallyyy harsh - physically, emotionally - just wrong.
make sure you take off your makeup every night, wear non-comodgenic makeup (mineral makeup), and wear SUNSCREEN, although some sunscreens make u break out - you can get non comodgenic sunscreen - and also you can get face primers wtih SPF that are non comodgenic.
- make sure you moisturize your face.
