how to treat them? couldn’t avoid getting bit, now it itches. anyway to treat to them/not make it so itchy? i’ve scratched it so much that i’m breaking the skin, but it’s still not enough.

you can buy over the counter itch relief ointments/lotions (ie calamine
lotions, hydrocortizone creames) at any drug/grocery store.

refrain from scatching it....it'll only make you itch more and will prevent it from healing.

You can possibly try ammonia. This will take out the itch but if you scratched enough to break the skin, it would be pretty painful...

try baking soda and water. havent tried it personally though.

edit: forgot to mention that you need to make a paste out of that baking soda and water. :smack:

oo i don’t think i have ammonia. where do you get it from? maybe a drugstore?

oo i will!! wait do you mean with salt water or put salt on, rub it and then wash it water?

thanks ladies for the suggestions. the itchyness has like died i think (finally) after days. will try this stuff next time for sure!

Baking soda paste is really good even for bee-stings. Always keep aloe gel in the house. This is excellent

Any time an ant or a mosquito bites me, I drop everything and rub hydrogen peroxide on the bite mark. That instantly kills the urge to itch and doesn't turn into a red mark either.

Don’t you feel it when the mosquito is biting :confused: I feel it instantly and I kill the damn thing while it’s sucking blood and dies on my arm. But whenever you have the itch, apply hydrogen peroxide and it stops the itch. It’s really cheap (about $1 for a big bottle) and is available on any drug store, not sure about Canada though.

To actually avoid mosquito bites, spray yourself with lavender or citronella oils. Mosssies hate that smell

good advice. and if you can't get those oils, i'm sure most people have some tiger balm at home - they hate this too.
