PESHAWAR: A mosque and a shrine were destroyed after an explosion in the Khyber tribal region’s Landi Kotal tehsil on Thursday, DawnNews reported.
The blast occurred in Landi Kotal’s Ashkail area and the target of the attack was the mosque and the adjoining shrine, government sources said.
There were no casualties and the local administration said the bomb had been planted inside the mosque.
Security forces consequently surrounded the area and started a search operation.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack. — DawnNews
