I hope the fanatics are caught and UN condemns this attack the same way as it condemns any attack, if it were to take place in India, Pakistan, China or anywhere around the 3rd world (rightfully so).

its not just mosque, a Hindu priest house was also attacked. hopefully NYPD will investigate thoroughly and the culprits will be brought to court.

there ain't any statement from any organization given not even single person injured and they were technically not even a bomb, its a cup of Starbucks coffee filled with gasoline and lit up.

Oh wow.. hmm close to where I live in Queens. Its actually a Shia mosque. Pretty sad it happened because this mosque is in a very busy area. There is a highway right by it.. extremely busy area. I remember last I believe Ramadan or something, a little incident happened here. A drunk man walked in while people were praying taraweeh. It has a school too .. scary.

Yes, I still remember a funny clip from the daily show where the tea partier types were harassing a black guy thinking he was a muslim and telling him to go back home. The protests were about that Park 51 project and it died down after its intended purposed after 2010 elections.
As for the attacks, I hope that the law enforcement agencies do their jobs and find the culprits.

Overall, Americans are very tolerant. There is an Islamice Center here where people practise their faith without any problems. There is also a Hindu center a few blocks down.
Americans are good people, and law enforcement does go after hate crime.
OP, maybe you need to practise tolerance first before throwing stones. Just saying.

And while there are racist people in America, overall, people are tolerant. The people don't necessarily agree with the government's policies.

really achterbahn? where did you get the news that the mosque burnt? This is what the article says:
"The foundation said on its website that two firebombs were "hurled at the main entrance" but that thankfully "no major damage no injury was caused by the blast."
You are not just being dishonest but still fail to admit you are doing the equivalent of shouting fire in a theater and causing terror.

We shouldnt automatically assume this is a bias attack. The man who was arrested seems to be mentally unstable, and apparently his only gripe is that the Mosque didnt allow him to use their bathroom, and the Yemani owned store kicked him out for shop lifting...

There are nut cases in every religion and every society. In Western countries, generally, they are managed and looked after by the state and given their due position in the society. In our society, from the level of neighbourhood politics to the level of state politics, they are used as pawns by the men of power. Sometimes they are even produced and groomed to be a nut case. Many times they even go on to become a man of authority themselves. There are many examples.
