Two events planned for Tangier next year
The Royal Moroccan cricket federation (FRMC) and the Cricketers Benefit Fund Series (CBFS) are planning two back to back tournaments in Tangier between June and August next year. An FRMC official said here that they were plans to hold a triangular in early June and then late August and efforts were being made to get India to play in one of those tournaments and Pakistan in another.
“While the South Africans, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are now contracted to play one tournament a year in Tangier, the FRMC will also soon have similar contracts with West Indies, Zimbabwe and New Zealand,” the official said. “If we have contracts with these six countries, then it would not be a problem trying to convince the Indians and having two tournaments in June and August with different teams as the weather at that time of the year is excellent in this northern part of Africa,” he said.
The CBFS has already scheduled a tournament for Sharjah in early April 2003 shortly after the World Cup with South Africa and Pakistan as the confirmed participants. “That tournament is scheduled to end around April 8 after which if we go by the International Cricket Council (ICC) future tours programme, India should then visit Pakistan in April and May,” said the official.
“If India makes that tour to Pakistan then be rest assured that we will manage to get both teams to play at least one of the tournaments in either June or August here (in Tangier). If cricket ties don’t resume by then between the two countries, they might be convinced to play in separate events here,” he informed

Crucial match for Pakistan!
If SL wins today they will qualify for the finals just because of the bonus pt they recieved against South Africa.
Not a must win situation for Pak but very important.
If Pak looses today then they would have to win against South Africa tommorrow and hope for South Africa to loose against SL in the last match.
This is turning out to be a tough selection dilema.
The next pitch is likely to support spinners.
So the selection committee is thinking of dropping Imran Nazir and Muhammad Sami to bring in Saqlain Mushtaq and Shoaib Malik to help take wickets.
And will have Afridi open along Saeed because he is said to be better of playing seamers than quality spinners like Murali and Chandana.
My suggestion should be is to replace Afridi with Malik
Replace Sami with Saqi.

The reason I am thinking PAK should replace Sami with Saqlain cuz SL plays fast bowlers very well as compare to googly ;) and I am sure after the humaliation of saqlain by SL he is ready to take on SL and will bowl better....we'll see....6 and hlaf hours left for the match to start and I can stay up all night cuz its Saturday tomorrow I'll be able to sleep the whole day....I am getting excited and I am sure I won't be able to sleep. Cricket to meri ragoo me ruch bus gai hai.

but we might see malik and saqlain together in the RSA match on sunday....

Poor South Africans are being mistreated here.
They are schedualed to play their next 2 matches in the left pitch which is likely to help the spinners and SA are definately lacking a decent spinner.
I'm starting to become a fan of Imran Nazir.
Such young age and what a great performer.
His shots remind me of Mark Waugh.
Anything offside will get punished.

Nothing beats Nazirs inngings against the final with South Africa in Sharjah, that was too good!!!
