The morning after your baraat.
Okay so I'm wondering what happens on the morning after your baraat. As in do the groom and bride get ready and go say hello to the family, have breakfast etc? Or does somebody come and wake you up?
Basically, what happens during that morning?

Well i remember when it was the barat, we actually got into bed around 5am....fell aslp then woke up again around 9...because of the adrenaline pumping i didnt feel tired until walima finished and finally could slppp......
the day after barat- woke up at 9...sis in law and mil brought breakast in bedroomm.....and we ate there.
The experience you girls have had seems very different to how me and the hubby are doing it.
After the ruksati his family will get to his house before me and him arrive to greet us etc. Then they will stay with us for a bit chit chat make sure all is ok and then leave that's it!
We then go to sleep and wake up when we want or when my dad wakes me up to make sure I am ok and don't need anything lol
Then we will get out of bed in our own time, get ready for the walima and meet everybody there as the newlywed couple.
Lol...You girls are funny!!!Cant blame you girls for being nervous though!!! I am not married yet but how about getting up for fajar prayers and then going out for breakfast or to the kitchen???Let the poor guy sleep for few more hours.
Poor guy? What about us, the poor girls? After going through so many hours of torture, the men should let us sleep in and rest!!!

I stayed at my hubby's wedding night - he has his own place. We'd agreed that we wouldn't have my family bring nashta, as they'd only be brining it for the two of us.
Instead we got up earlyish (about 9) and then made our way to my parents for breakfast, and there we had the traditional nashta with my family. My hubby stayed for another hour or so and then went back home, whilst I stayed at my parents allowing us both to rest etc. A couple of friends came to visit, and I slept for a bit. Later that evening my hubby returned for dinner and we returned to his house. Our valima wasn't until the following weekend.

we stayed at home we finished all the rasams at 5 am and then got up at 10 am again and then fall a sleep again and got up at 1 pm my bhabi is my nand to so she came in the room at the morning helped me getting ready and had breakfast at 2 i knew each and everyone but was so nervous that i didnt say a word just say salaam to everyone and sat beside my husband and then later went over to my parants place where they were staying and went back again at the in laws

It's def more stressful for the bride than the groom cause half the time they have no shame lol!

we stayed at my hubby's home... my family brought the nashta, the very next morning. we woke up around 10.. then got ready and came down, had breakfast with everyone, then went to the parlour since our valima was in dopahr.
