More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasination

Perhaps there should be a poll and several articles on this theme as well.
Because as we hear from sources of the word on the streets and drawing rooms in Pakistan these days, it seems a lot of people from all sections of society all over Pakistan don’t want to overlook the possibility of Mr 10% having done this, maybe for the remaining 90%, maybe for any other reason…

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasinati

I don't know about "more than half of Pakistanis..." but a good number of people I met in Karachi thought along these lines.

There was a news article that I read when elections were announced that PPP (or was it BB herself) selected Mr 10% to facilitate BB's election campaign (including security arrangements). By the NRO almost all money of BB was de-frozen. Also some news articled had reported rumours (few months earlier) that Bibi and Asif had separated 'unofficially' which was kept secret from media to protect Bibi's political career. So Asif getting rid of her may not be a far-fetched idea.

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasinati

Why would Mr. Cheema lie for Zardari? Why would the Government lie for Zardari?
Why would we take Caesars assumptions serious, when ISI murder is the very call all over Pakistan?

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari ‘could be’ behind Benazir’s assasinati

There was, and people thought the govt had something to do with it

Your anti-Bhutto/PPP propaganda is not working

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari ‘could be’ behind Benazir’s assasinati

Btw, if zardari was behind the murder why is mushy so content on blaming that baitullahboogeyman. And as far as the nation is cocerned, most in pakistan believe that the illegal mush govt was behind it. Even mush was asked about it in an interview :hehe:

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasinati

Many other people I met said that they knew Bibi was allowed to come to Pakistan by US pressures but against the wishes of Mushy, since Bibi was not "agreeing" to Mush's demands so he had to remove her. For international media's hunger govt kept blaming Mehsud while local "rumours/thoughts" promoted Zardari as the suspect.

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasinati

Local rumours/thoughts might differ from region to region. In Lahore every second was convinced of government involvement.

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasinati

Thats correct, opinions I heard are from my friends'/relatives' circle in Karachi.

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari ‘could be’ behind Benazir’s assasinati

They were not asked about Zardari, where they?

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari ‘could be’ behind Benazir’s assasinati

Read again my first post, this thread is in response to the other view.

Meanwhile, heard on ARYONE they conducted some poll and 51% thought it was the govt and 49% believed Zardari, no neutral view nor any third option, some poll, and ARY group is often known to be PPP skewed too.

Weight in this theory can’t be denied…

True, and per what I’ve heard recently from Lahore many ppl thought of Zardari.

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasinati

They were asked 'who do u think did it'. This obviously did not exclude Zardari

Re: More than half of Pakistanis think Zardari 'could be' behind Benazir's assasinati

I wasnt refering to Lahori Elahi group or few MQM alliances members, rather to the average Pakistanis view at Lahore on this issue.
