If anyone in his right mind thinks that 1 in 10 in India are involved in human trafficking then I have the right to freakin laugh at them and their brains.
Now lets dig a bit deeper. What exactly is 'human-trafficking'? If this definition
involves the kids who are made to beg at traffic lights + the girls who are sold into
prostitution + the horrible "muta" marriages of hyderabad where young girls are effectively one-night brides for wealthy arab sheikhs, then there is NO WAY 100 million people involved.
BUT - if you also add up the "clients" for prostitutes, then the figure might approach a few million at best. Besides - the way I understand human trafficking is people (organised gangs mostly) who attempt illegal smuggling of people (like for employment) or attempt to thrust kids into illegal activities.
If these numbers add up to 100 million in your mind, then go get yourself checked.
PS: I think when the bureaucrat mentioned this figure he must have included all the above activities PLUS the number of males who visit prostitutes (one time as well as regular). THEN the figure starts to make some sense.
These figures are coming from Indian officials... what are you saying?? These indian officials does not do they their homework before speaking out in public and they just say something... and do not care how stupid it may sound???? is that what u saying??? otherwise you have no point..
no body cares what you thinks... what ur officials says is the fact or he is a totally lost person... and got the position because there 1000s like him who either elected him or promoted him to the position where he can make a statement like that...
whatever the case is... it is based on his statement...
Since when did speaking the truth become anti-Pakistan ? Dude, you really need to get your head (and whatever else) out of the sand and come out of this “blame the Indians” mentality.
Now let me speak in your language so you understand
FORUM = PAKISTANI
THIS POST = ANTI INDIA
REASON FOR THIS POST = EVEN THE ORIGINAL POSTER DOES NOT KNOW
ME = AN INDIAN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE REASON FOR THIS POST
YOU = A PAKISTANI USING THIS AS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR INDIA BASHING
CONCLUSION = PAKISTANIS NEED TO RESORT TO INDIA BASHING TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEIR COUNTRY
These figures are coming from Indian officials... what are you saying??
Correction. The figures are coming from the reporter - as reported by him/her.
By the way: you believe indian officials readily here when there is good possibility that the number was mis-reported OR number was correct but reported out-of-context.
But you did not believe them initially even when photographs (!) of Ajmal Kasab were shown on national television.
I think I know where you are coming from.
One more reason to feel blessed that my ancestors did not convert :)
lol now connect these very coherent statement of yours mate. yea dude truth becomes anti-india when its your logic behind post.
If the truth (which happens to be anti-India :)) is posted just to give Pakistanis some warm fuzzies about their own country, the intent of the posting is suspicious.
But I couldn't expect logic to convince you, could I ??
REASON FOR THIS POST = EVEN THE ORIGINAL POSTER DOES NOT KNOW
You don't necessarily have to give a reason for every thread you post. If you are having problems working out the reason - simple don't do it, it won't fit in your head.
How hard is it to stay away from a thread you are failing to understand?
Pls read the forum posting rules. If you post a link, you need to add your own comments which guides how/where you want the discussion to go. Just posting random articles is not very helpful for discussion and makes one question the intent of the post.
Now obviously you are a newbie :) Why dont you read the forum rules before you jump into things you dont understand ? Will save you some time too ;)
P.S. the lack of a credible reason behind this post from the OP/other Pakistani posters and their defensive reactions proves my earlier hypothesis - **posting* negative things about India is just a way for Pakistanis to feel good about their own country* :p

But 1.2 million child prostitutes in India’s youth population of 362 million puts the percentage at .3%
Now in America, it’s said there are about 1 million prostitutes, and 66 percent of those are under the age of 18. So with a youth population of 82 million in the U.S., that means the percentage that are prostitutes is .8%
Nearly three times the ratio that India has? Pretty impressive…how about reporting on that, CNN?
