To seal the Afghan border is nearly impossible with that terrain. People and supplies will find a way. Just look at the US/Mexican border even they are not able to seal it completely. The drug trade still continues.

Shireen Mazari from the PTI who is a high ranking party official who from her twitter account is making accusations of TTP being Indian agents, or Indian supported merceneries. At the same time her party chief is saying we should not be at war with them and negotiate with them (and we are fighting someone else's war). He even once wrote they are fighting a 'holy' war. Can some senisble PTI supporters like Ali_S and Amal explain this discrepancy to me (the pti trolls need not bother)...

Try that and watch reaction of Bhai and its party. Other political parties have long asked for Karachi to be a gun free zone but the biggest stake holder always declines.

: It is a clear fact that sometimes in pursuit of peace; the treacherous road to “war” has to be taken. After recent terrorists’ attacks, and thereafter, the TTP proudly claiming responsibility of these cowardly acts would leave no nation any choice but to go after those who threaten the safety of its people. The air strikes by Pakistani military in response to the recent attacks send a stern message to those who are working against our peace objectives in the region. We stand united with Pakistan as it pursues all options to bring about sustained peace in a volatile region.

yes both are better, one created Lyari monster by Zulfiqar Mirza and other side settled down TTP in surrounding areas of Karachi, PPP had nothing to do with any of them .... agree, both are better than everyone, ahead of everyone may be.

Let's see the Shair who won fair and square and runs the oh so popular and successful Federal Government and appoints the Army Chief has the guts to come out and convince the public that "my dear countrymen, time has come to defeat the enemy". That loon of a Prime Minister cannot string sentence together without looking at his notes, let alone leading the debate and guiding the nation from the front.

People in Pakistan get killed and criminalised for having a difference opinion, but fortunately, that Prime Minster has none of that worry about because he doesn't have any opinions to begin with. It takes guts to have an opinion, believe in it, and take a stand for it. Maybe it might help if the army Chief can pay our honourable Prime Minister another unexpected tea time visit to teach him that.

Talking about going in circles, the army is in talks apparently to get Mi-35s and the soviets developed a deadly tactic of at least 2 or more Mi-24s (older Mi-35s which are for export) where they would strafe the mujahideen when the second one would be coming around after the first finished its strafing run.
