Re: more on Muslims in America
I agree, its an ignorant, prejudiced and narrow minded view and should not be honored.
Imagine the opposite happening.
what idiots...I am writing a letter to ISNA and CAIR to address this issue and set these idiots straight. This is just not right.
Re: more on Muslims in America
i think as they say "law of the land" there should be a common ground.
Re: more on Muslims in America
There was a smilar story here in Montrea where a cab driver didn't allow a man with alcohol. Big debate on a local radio station - very bad image of Islam.
Re: more on Muslims in America
Sometimes Muslim own gas stations/convenient don't sell alcohol. Maybe the taxi drivers are thinking the same way.
To me the market should even it out. If there are more people demanding a service that people in that service area are failing to provide than someone else will come up and take up the business. i.e. someone advertising on top of his taxi that he welcomes alcohol packages etc.
Re: more on Muslims in America
Usually it's the drunks who need a taxi ride anyway, no? So by not allowing that guy with alcohol in the cab, the cabbie has put his and others life in danger.
