Suicides and cases of fragging, where a soldiers kills his colleagues, have gone up in the recent past. Over a dozen of them have been reported in Jammu and Kashmir since October.

Yes they require it
Indian Army is highly stretched. at the best you get two years in peace after three years of field & mostly officers & jawans go on serving in these places for stretches of 4-5 years. This is indeed a very tough ask and not expected once you join the service as a volunteer and than once army refuses your resign as well!!!!!

its strange not surprising though. soldiers killed by fighters are less then soldiers committed sucide and killed by peers.
frustration and low moral. this should be enough for india that how long they could keep army in war footings, its not good for army well being. its better to solve the kashmir issue instead of prolonging it as its main policy towards Jammu and Kashmir
