while we were crying for 5-yr old sunbal who got raped by 5 men in lahore, i just saw on tv that a 10 year old girl in Faisalabad got raped by 4…and now tv channels are lso showing a 2.5 year old girl in multan who probably faced the same predicament 8 months ago but police was never able to find her…
when you think of these crimes, it is hard to eat or even breath…at least i could not eat properly after seeing sunbal face…we collectively destroyed her whole life
i am not going to say anything to our society or system…it is useless
the media is jumping up and down now but why dont they make noise the same way few months later when no criminal ever gets punished

Shame on Media , which shows and grills the victim and his/her family with questions like " …with aap key kiyaa ehsasat heyn…" ..and show their Faces on media…

The fact since past few days media is actually openly reporting rape cases should be welcomed. That's the first step to create a sense of much need urgency to combat this heinous crime. Otherwise no change will come through.

Another case of child-rape reported in Lahore today, a laborer was arrested for raping another five-year-old girl in Saddar area.
Stay focused guys. After the Delhi gang rape, it was not just the Indian media but even the international media was reporting Indian rape cases left, right and center. This is how they created a sense of urgency and made people finally accept that they have a serious problem which they cannot afford to ignore for any longer. I hope people don't lose focus and become hopeless and depressed. More and more efforts should be made to highlight this unreported crime, media should be given full encouragement and appreciation to report as many rape cases as they can.

Our justice system overloaded and cannot physically the meet the demand, our laws are outdated and simply not adequate enough and our police force is down on numbers and training. All these things needs to be highlighted and talked about.
We need reforms, reforms and more reforms to build a safe and healthy society. And the role of active media cannot be stressed enough in this process.
