Yes sometimes i think....my parents are bit more open in their thoughts then me....like they eat out at all places(here in usa),while i only go to the halal shops...etc etc

What kind of liberalism or traditionalism are you people alluding too?
coming to religion, yes i am more conservative....
coming to cultural traditions, i dont hink i adopted any from my parents....
mixing of the two genders in parties etc, my parents can tolerate somehwat, i cant....
hacing girls wear jeans and all, none of us can have that....
although i cud allow such dresses, if not revealing and not tight, but i dont think even the most respectable dress in sort of trousers or skirt wud be acceptable to my parents....

It is a huge topic, and I could also say quite a lot, but im glad Im not the only one. Quite interesting that some of you are more religious. If you guys want to add more, please feel free to do so.
at my age both of my parents were quite liberal, my mum never used to wear hijab, when i saw the pics i was shocked that they used to b like that,
but thinking wise im much more conservative than my parents,
