No what I find it difficult to understand is why a democracy would sensor the words "Love" 6 bloody times in a movie.
Most modern day Bollywood movies would classify as soft porn!
what is so difficult to understand? Nehru is a respected figure in India and unless you come up with solid proof, this sort of speculation will raise tensions. Indian government has enough tensions on its hand than to have to deal with this sort of crap. It is called GOVERNANCE.
Your own comment on bollywood and 'soft porn', and taking your words on the face of it that you are an expert in bollywood and soft porn - doesn't that tell you Indian government is not about censorship? otherwise they'd have censored what your expert comment classified as soft porn?
I have read numerous comments by you where your only intention seems to be to slight India and Indians. Why such hatred? what happened to you?
i had a queation....if jinaah' fondness for pork, sousages was shown in the film 'jinahh the movie'......and no answer.....
question is factually incorrect....how come???
Good god. A man loving a woman is not yellow journal news. Are all so narrow minded?
Yeah you are happy a Democracy is censoring and limiting freedom of speech. That shows your true colors.
What censoring are you talking about .... the film has already been approved by the ministry . But then you dont need to know that , you have your own agenda which has got nothing to do with truth and facts !!!!!!
So why did Pakistan government pull itself out of the Jinnah project. Do you not know the answer :D
Re: More censorship from the world's largest democracy....
Read the article written by an Indian. They edited the script, removed and censored dialogues. The fact that you can't accept that simply shows the farce that is your "open minded democracy".
The Government of Pakistan was never involved in the Jinnah movie that was released in the 1990s.
A film about Pakistan’s founding father being premiered in Hollywood on Saturday has endured a storm of protests over the casting of actor Christopher Lee in the title role.
Pakistan was enraged by the choice of Mr Lee to portray Muhammad Ali Jinnah because of his long association with Count Dracula movies.
The government withdrew its funding halfway through the film, entitled Jinnah, and Mr Lee received death threats
Activists also demanded the actor’s arrest and deportation
Oh well you learn something new every day. But unlike the Indian government we didn't censor the movie :D
Sweetheart I am not the one with two different nick who switches between them when a conversation goes south :D
Censor the movie ..... arey bhai someone was finally willing to make a film on Jinnah ...... The makers of the movie knew the one way they could have people watch the movie was by getting some "colourfull" character. I personally have great regard for Jinnha .... but he is not of a stature where people would be attrated to watch his life story. .... he was no Gandhi :D
I dont need two knicks ... you are not able to handle one .... do honge to tum to "hathyar" dhal doge :D
Re: More censorship from the world's largest democracy....
That is the point my dear boy. You are always unwilling to do what is right. You would support the Indian government even if they raped women. Oh wait you already do that.
A democracy should not be censoring the freedom of media or any form of freedom of speech. First the book on Jinnah was banned. Next this movie. The sham democracy that is India is pretty obvious now.

There are groups within Pakistan which survive on these types of news .... after all it is easier to get people motivated to act against if they are shown in bad light.
Similar to this case .... Jinnah book is not banned in India but then that does not help you case does it :D
OOOO there is censorship in India … the government has “banned” love from a movie … seriously is that all you have to complain … boy you must have really run out of trash on India
Re: More censorship from the world’s largest democracy…
LMAO!! You have never been to Pakistan have you? LMAO! Oh god. This is rich. This bloody rich! I am sorry…but this is hilarious. Dumbass American. I am actually laughing in real life on this comment!
Oh that is why four channels went of the air when GHQ was attacked … and dont remind the military dictatorship time …this video will refresh… Pakistani freedom of speech
