** Actor warns award organisers to remove his name! **
Acclaimed Bollywood star Manoj Bajpai has allegedly warned organisers of the Screen Bollywood Awards to withdraw his name from their nomination list.
The actor, who recently won rave reviews for his performance in Pinjar, become furious when his name was featured in the Best Supporting Actor category.
“Manoj has been nominated the Best Supporting Actor for the Screen Awards. He is very upset that he was nominated in this category when he actually plays the lead role,” Manoj Bajpai’s secretary Triparthi explained. *
** Bollywood star negotiates new Hollywood movie! **
The rumours of Aishwarya Rai starring in the next James Bond movie have been dismissed by her American agency Canyon entertainment. However the Bollywood actress is currently negotiating a major movie opposite Hollywood heartthrob Branden Frasier.
''We are in negotiations now for Ash to star with Branden Frasier in 'singularity' for director Roland Joffe of Warner Brothers," confirms Simone Sheffield of Canyon entertainment. "Details would be given when it is a done deal."

** Indian Award ceremony taking place in May 2004! **
The sixth annual Bollywood Awards will take place on 1 May 2004 at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in New Jersey. Several actors from the Indian film industry as well as mainstream American stars will perform and be present at the awards ceremony.

** Director will no longer be associated with UK show! **
Indian filmmaker Karan Johar has dropped out of the forthcoming Bollywood talent show for UK television. The director of blockbusters Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was originally set to offer the winner of 'Bollywood Star' a part in his forthcoming movie.
In fact Channel 4, which is screening the talent show, even promoted the prize heavily. However it seems Karan Johar will no longer be associated with the show and another Bollywood producer has already been found.
The production company stated 'person reasons' for Karan's exit. The show will be screened later this year and auditions are already taking place.
"It has already been an excellent experience to see people from all different backgrounds taking such a keen interest in Bollywood," says judge Honey Kalaria. "There were so many emotions and performances, it was a huge responsibility for us judges. It was important that we chose the right person from Britain to represent Bollywood." *

i was sent a pm stating the threads had been merged and if i wanted i could have the title changed.

Faisal, I can't help but think that Manoj Bajpai is justified in his fury. He was the lead actor! Besharam log - they can't tell apart a lead character from that of a supporting actor! Aur kya insult hai, yeh supporting actor nomination!
